A recent study by the US National Institutes of Health found that vegan meats were high in fiber, folate, and iron, and contained less saturated fat than ground beef. McDonald’s and Yum Brands, which own KFC, Taco Bell and Pizza Hut, announced partnerships with Beyond Meat. Burger King has partnered with Impossible Foods to provide meatless Whoppers. Del Taco also announced that Beyond Meat would be available.
