Taco Bell plans to serve Andover

Popular American fast food chain Taco Bell has submitted a planning application for a new ‘drive-thru’ hot food restaurant in Amesbury.

Looking to move into Unit 2 on Mid Summer Place in Solstice Park, application is requesting permission to provide a drive-thru with a dining area and guest restroom.

If approved, they will join Harvester, Pizza Hut and other food outlets at Solstice Park.

Taco Bell is an American chain with a Mexican-inspired menu.

From nachos to tacos, burritos and quesadillas, the restaurant serves up Mexican dishes at a fast food pace.

The channel is part of the Yum! Brand group that also owns fast food chains KFC and Pizza Hut, which already have restaurants in Solstice Park, Amesbury.

Taco Bell opened its first UK restaurant at Lakeside Shopping Center in Grays, Essex in 2010. Currently there are around 93 Taco Bell restaurants in the UK and Amesbury may soon be added to the list.

The development application, submitted on 18 January 2022, is approaching the ‘pending decision’ phase and will need to be approved by Wiltshire Council.
