All McDonald’s stores in Stockton came together on Friday and donated all profits from their French fries sales to the slain officer memorial fund.
STOCKTON, Calif .– A combined effort of 13 McDonald’s restaurants in Stockton has donated $ 50,000 to the memorial fund of the slain Officer Jimmy Inn.
Inn was shot and killed on May 11 while responding to a situation of suspected domestic violence. On May 14, Golden State Restaurant Group, a local franchise based in Stockton, mobilized to show its support.
They said they would donate all profits from their French fries sales to Inn’s family through the slain officer’s memorial fund. The channel announced Monday that community support helped them make a $ 50,000 contribution to the memorial fund.
“It was only one day! Lots of community support and an incredible turnout,” Golden State Restaurant Group told ABC10.
The Stockton Police Officers Association responded to the fundraising effort on Facebook shortly after the post was released.
“Absolutely impressive and incredible. Thank you very much to Golden State McDonald’s and our community. Thank you,” said the Stockton Police Officer Association. on Facebook.
The slain officer will be buried on May 19. The Stockton Police Department said the funeral service for fallen Constable Jimmy Inn will be held at the Christian Life Center Church at 11 a.m. law enforcement colleagues.
Inn has worked with the Stockton Police Department since December 2015. He will be remembered by his wife, son, son-in-law and daughter-in-law.
