McDonald’s drive to Cleethorpes closes after damage from Storm Arwen

Emergency services were called to Cleethorpes McDonald’s after Storm Arwen damaged a sign.

As a result, the Grimsby Road branch had to shut down its drive-thru service to customers.

There was a risk of the overhanging sign falling on cars queuing in the drive-thru lane.

Humberside Fire and Rescue was called to the branch to verify the security of the panel.

The sit-down restaurant was not affected and customers were able to pick up orders in the usual way.
