McDonald’s brings back one of its best-selling burgers after two-year hiatus – but it’ll have to be quick

McDonald’s Australia is set to bring back its fancy wagyu beef burgers after it disappeared from its menu two years ago.
Returning to the menu from Wednesday, diners can get their hands on the sophisticated take on a classic Macca burger, made with 100% Australian wagyu beef.
The deluxe burger consists of wagyu beef, a tasty slice of bacon, grilled onions, signature sauce and local produce including sliced tomato, crisp lettuce and Aussie Jack cheese.
The fast food restaurant has sourced over 170,000 kg of premium wagyu beef from farms across Australia.

“We are delighted to bring back our much loved Wagyu Beef Burger,” said Amanda Milios, McDonald’s Australia Brand Manager.
“We know this is a favorite for many of our customers who are looking for a delicious and more premium lunch or dinner option.
“As part of our continued support to the local agricultural industry, Macca’s is proud to have purchased over 170,000 kilograms of premium Wagyu F1 beef from over 100 Australian farms.
“We have been celebrating and serving delicious local ingredients to our customers for 50 years on farms across the country and know there is a huge demand for the taste of Wagyu beef.”
The Wagyu Beef Burger is available after 10:30 a.m. from September 15 to Tuesday October 19 at McDonald’s restaurants nationwide, including via Drive-Thru, McDelivery, or the MyMacca’s app.
