There will be weekly performances by multiple artists as well as merch collaborations, including one with Cudi. Hip Hop continues its McDonald’s reign now that Kid Cudi has a new partnership with the famous fast food brand. We’ve seen Travis Scott and Saweetie break Mickey D records with their limited-edition signature meals, and this month the franchise’s app is giving music fans unprecedented access to a handful of their favorite musicians. The virtual experience is aptly titled Camp McDonald’s and for 27 days people will be able to enjoy food offerings, specialty collaborations and unique performances. Artists taking to the virtual stage include Omar Appollo, blackbear, BIBI and Ohio’s own hitmaker Kid Cudi. The rapper will headline the month-long event and wrap things up with his July 31 performance. “Whether it’s channeling a space odyssey into my music or discovering themes for my next project, I always want to push that creative envelope,” Cudi said. Summer concerts are some of my most memorable moments as a performer, and this one was no exception. Bringing my idea of ”space” to life with McDonald’s with a dope custom set made my performance feel authentic and hopefully allows my CudFam to connect to my music in a way it didn’t before.” “I’m thrilled to be part of this once-in-a-lifetime experience – and I hope my fans will be too.” It all starts today and in the coming weeks there will be weekly deliveries of merchandise from Free & Easy, Ma®ket, innisfree and Kid Cudi. You can view the schedule and learn more about Camp McDonald’s by downloading the McDonald’s app.
