Is Tim Hortons Breakfast Better Than McDonald’s? -Guillaume Morgan

For many years, McDonalds breakfast has been a hangover and hunger staple.

From experience, few things can get you out of a tired stupor like a hot drink and a bun with bacon, sausage, and eggs.

However, with the opening of the new Tim Hortons in Gloucester (November 16), McDonald’s Goliath may have just met its David.

Granted, since the two franchised restaurants have revenues of over $ 1 billion (US or Canadian), this is really a battle between two goliaths of different sizes.

It’s hard not to see the Tim Hortons breakfast menu as a direct challenge for the hamburger giant, as the two North American chains have a similar offering: a drink, a potato patty and a small – lunch or a wrap, but differ in terms of price and quality.

Now the price really matters here, as Tim Hortons’s Big Breakfast Wrap, hash browns and a large hot drink cost just £ 3.09, while a similar breakfast would set you back £ 5.39 at McDonald’s.

In terms of size, the more expensive McDonald’s breakfast is slightly larger than its competitor, which could give it an edge among the hungry.

However, for the foodie, Tim Hortons is giving away a box of its 10 Timbits Mini Donuts for just £ 1 with your breakfast order.

For the science, I ordered one of McDonalds Millionaire Donuts to see how the total breakfast supply stacked up and, well, there’s an easy winner for me.

Tim Hortons is famous for its donuts and they are easily better quality than McDonald’s sickly caramel-filled pastries.

For just £ 4.09 you can get a full breakfast, big coffee, and a box of good donuts to snack on until lunch.

This is a full breakfast £ 2.69 cheaper than the McDonalds breakfast, with the Millionaire Donut, so if you’re looking for an effortless yet high calorie breakfast option, Tim Hortons is the place to be. an easy winner.

I would just like to say that this is not a paid promotion but rather a public service announcement of someone almost looking forward to their next hangover and the breakfast that goes with it. .
